Bidrage med feedbackWe came during the week of bad rain in January. It was my birthday and we had made reservations for the roof bar. We called and confirmed that it was closed due to the weather and asked if we still had a reservation in the restaurant at the same time, the person said on the phone yes. So we Ubered 45 min to mama slip excited for our reservation, and if we carry this girl at the reception carry room buns gave us a dirty look and told us that the restaurant was closed and would not open for dinner until later. I said we talked to someone who said we had our reservation at 4. She had no resolution, said something like I don't know what to tell you. We turned to find out what to do and see how they shook their eyes to their employees as if we were stupid. It rained and we had no other plans, so we were confused not sure what to do or where to go. Someone else from the bar approached us and asked if they could help with something, and they told us the bar was still open and we could hang around there. That was all that the girl needed to offer at the reception and instead she was worthless. We have a place at the bar and it turns out that the drinks were absolutely terrible. Bad drinks of our entire trip. Everyone we know in L.A. was highly recommended and it was strangely the worst place we visited during our trip, which was a farewell as we were very excited.
The room we were in was modern and clean. The headboard is backlit red and provides a very romantic feeling. The shower has a low water pressure to change from the hand shower jet to the head. I had to crush the jets with my hand to generate enough pressure to change it. Note: Mama Shelter has two bars, a ground floor and the other is an attic. If you are on the 2nd or 5th floor, you will hear 100% both until midnight.
Nice mood and great staff. Room so big enough. Hotel is unique and very not traditional. The room has no wardrobes, wardrobe, wardrobe; but there is a shelf and coat hanger. The restaurant and bars (both street level and rooftop) offer great opportunities. A 18% service fee tip is included in the invoice and is well earned by the staff. Parking is on site: costs $25 and had in and out privileges.
I had a super sweet college-esque cocktail last night and it was $27. How could you ask? The cocktail is listed as $18, but when the bill comes, they add taxes (fair , 18% service fee (first time hear about it, and another fee I don't remember bc I was jacked. $27. Don't go back, unless either the drinks are worth it (platinum flakes? or they improve their policy. In any case, you do not recommend to go.
Cute room but the front desk manager was extremely disrespectful. I wouldn't go back.
