Magee's Donuts - Los Angeles

AVOID THIS PLACE!!! I visited based on a friend's recommendation of their helpful and friendly service. However, when I went alone, the person at the counter was incredibly rude. While he was assisting me, he abruptly stopped to help someone else. I paused my order, and then he told me not to come back. HOW UNBELIEVABLY RUDE! It's clear why their business is so empty. I ended up going to a different shop where I received friendly and efficient service instead.

I absolutely love Magee’s Donuts! My top choice is the cinnamon twist (it's at the very bottom of the box in the picture). The staff are always friendly, and there are plenty of delicious options to choose from. The donuts always taste fresh, and they often throw in an extra donut for free!

It's surprising that the donuts and croissants are made fresh, as I've seen the baker preparing them in the shop the night before. However, there’s a major issue: I've also seen rodents, both live ones and those dealt with by pest control. Additionally, I ordered a burrito with just sausage and cheese, but the person who made it added hash brown potatoes, which are definitely not fresh and taste like they've been sitting around for days. This led to me feeling unwell for three days afterward. On top of that, while the staff is friendly when you're spending money, they often have unpleasant attitudes otherwise. Given these three strikes, I’ll be looking for donuts elsewhere and won’t be returning. They should also consider cleaning the windows!

I got a breakfast burrito, coffee a donut under ten bucks. Burrito is top notch. I'm always greeted by whomever is behind the counter.

BEST PLACE EVER!!!!! Love the energy there, everyone is so nice. Sometimes they forget some things in your order, but will gladly refund you on your next order if you put a note. I especially love this woman named Jennifer, she is the nicest person I know and is simply a bundle of joy. When I woke up at 5 in the morning, I was already really tired obviously. But when I went into the shop, I was greeted with the most friendliest hello ever from Jennifer! She brightened my day and I instantly felt like I was energized from her vibe. She is truly the star of the shop in my opinion. Sometimes she evens add extra stuff on my sandwich and makes it taste just so much more better. Her jokes she throws at me sometimes are the highlight of my day along with the atmosphere of the whole shop in general. I hope whenever i'm on break I'll visit every chance I get, Sundays too
