No need to trek East if you're willing to pay $2-$3 more for pretty good Chinese food.

Very under the radar shanghainese place and we wish they made their way further south cause they would kill it in san diego.

I'm sad they took the Spicy Pork Spare Ribs off the menubut this is my go-to for dumplings on Sawtelle.

One of my favorite comforts is Beef Chow Mein. Most restaurants call it Beef with Pan Fried Noodles. Every time I go to a Chinese restaurant, I have to try her pan roast noodles. So here at Little Hong Kong Cafe, we have. We also ordered their Hong Kong Art Wonton Soup with noodles (another Fave of Me) and vegetables egg rolls. First came the vegetable rolls. You were good. Light and crispy. Then the Wonton soup came with noodles. Whoa! I was blown away from saltiness. The broth was not edible. The dumplings were average. Unfortunately, the beef came with Pan Fried Noodles. We first noticed that it tasted something on the sweet side, then better. It was okay. All right. I had great hopes for this place to read from other reviews. Maybe they had a really free day, replacement cook? I don't know... I wasn't impressed. Like I said, okay. The service was good.
