Homestate - Los Angeles

Service was good. Tables and inside was clean. Tacos was just fine. The flour tortillas and chips were very good, but the tacos were not special. Good/Okay overall.

That was our second homestate, after our first time in Pasadena. The staff was super attentive, the food came fast and it was nice to sit indoors with air conditioning on a hot summer day. This is much smaller, so if you visit a big party, you can't sit together. Eating wasn't *quite* as good as Pasadena, but I can't get my finger on why. We are still back and/or try another location!

This place makes simple ingredients taste excellent. A must to try for tacos. I had no varieties I didn't love.

Homestate is always a nice place for lunch with friends. This location is especially my favorite because the rear terrace is perfect! The food itself is good, but often I find some of their menu items lack taste and spice. It really depends only on what you order, but overall it is balanced with the ambience.

Pecos brisket, eggs 5 ?! Guadalupe chorizo, eggs, cheddar 5 ?! Trinity bacon, eggs, potatoes, cheddar 5 ?! I went to HomeState after a big hike and it hit the spot! Every ingredient was fresh. The eggs are a standout, light and fluffy. So tasty. All three breakfast tacos were very tasty. I added the house made green and red salsas as well. Honestly a great breakfast taco spot (they have non breakfast tacos that I assume are as tasty).
