Bidrage med feedbackI ordered their pita chips with baba ghanoush. They deep-fry their pita bread but also offer an unfried option if you prefer. However, their pita chips are absolutely delicious—crispy yet chewy, truly the best of both worlds. I also remember having a lamb stew one time, or maybe it was goat... It came with rice and a massive lamb shank, complete with the bone still attached, which was cut open to reveal the marrow still inside. It was bursting with flavor—full of spices but not overwhelmingly spicy. Now that I think about it, it might have been the Egyptian smothered lamb shank. I also tried some sambusas—crispy, triangular pastries filled with spiced goodness that were served piping hot. I love that they let you mix and match your fillings, unlike other places that require you to order them in sets of three or something similar. The service was fantastic. We had the wonderful Christian Davis serving us, bringing out our dishes and explaining each one and how it was prepared. It was a truly enjoyable experience, all in support of a great cause.
If I remember correctly, the owners partner with a different chef from another country each month, giving them a page on the menu to showcase meals from their home country. This is a fantastic way to provide both opportunity for the chefs and a unique experience for the customers. During my visit, we had Afghan-style food, and I was very pleased with my meal! We had a large group of eight, but the staff accommodated us effortlessly, and our waitress was very patient in explaining the menu and ensuring our water glasses were always full. I also appreciated that the restaurant allows us to split the check—a truly underrated feature. Overall, I really liked this place and the food I had. I would definitely return next month to try something new, not only for the delicious food but also to support a different chef. The saying "it takes a village" is more than just words; it’s about taking action.
The atmosphere is wonderful, reminiscent of dining in my favorite aunt's home—welcoming and cozy, yet bright and professional. The staff was polite and attentive, effortlessly managing our group of 15. They even provided takeout boxes for the leftovers. I would rate this experience a perfect 10/10 and would definitely return!
