Bidrage med feedbackUpdating: FO2 part deux It needed to taste their cocktails, so it went back. I wanted a Manhattan, but the rye whiskey wasn't there yet. So got the sidecar, don't think I had it before, it was a well-made drink. Also got the duck confit salad: duck leg was boiled as it should be, fall tender, but still moist, tasteful, the salad had dried figs and hazelnuts in it, great taste combination, beautifully dressed, low on the acid. It was there at 7 p.m., there was a short line that moved quite fast, but no place to sit inside. We were friends with two people sitting at the bar, so we got their seats. Besides, we've been in two friends who were there at night, very cool. The first lunch service of FO2 was today, from noon. We arrived at 11:50, of course there was already a line. The doors opened at 12:07. Then there were lines to put in your order. I have the mussels (curry/lime), they were excellent, simply cooked, great taste. Estimated type of costly at $14, as shells are not so expensive. I also have the sweet potato fries, now I understand all the raspberries. And the Tripel Carmeliet, from their list of really special beers – this beer was fantastic! Many of the beers are served in the various beer companies glasses – Nice Touch. My friend liked the burger, and the regular pommes were also really good. And you have to try the water. They use reverse osmosis filtration and the water tastes very pure. Everyone who worked there was so kind and was completely in the face of the attack. I have to go back to her special cocktails in the evening. Too bad for all hoopla and thus the lines. It would be such a great bar to just come. The room is very nice, with a 50-foot nut bar, and usually lots of wood everywhere. Beautiful red tiles on the wall in the sink area where the toilets are.
A great place to visit often for a relaxed time and good food and beer.
Everywhere in life people want options. They want to pour over every possibility, every scenario and leave no stones untwisted. Pater’s Office offers a lot of options when it comes to beer, but if you are hungry, there is really no other option than a burger that has no peer. Half a pound of dry aged beef, caramelized onion, apple wood bacon, Gruyere cheese, Maytag blue cheese and Arugula combine to perfection. It's like Sandy Koufax throwing a perfect game for your fantasy team every day. The bread is ideal in the texture that it keeps the burger together so that you do not have a sloppy meal in the hand and in the basket after a few bites. One of the mistakes that make burger places is trying to seduce you with sheer size in meat and toppings, but if it subpar then what is the point? The perfect portion of F.O. makes you happy without releasing your belt. Add a basket of their sweet potato frits instead of the shoe with one of their blond beers and it is really a perfectly balanced Hamburger meal
This classy burger establishment is for 21+. Quite interesting how this restaurant is set up, limiting it to only this crowd. They have a wide range of beer and mixed drinks, including the blood sand which is a delectable cocktail. I got the Office Burger with fries. I love their thin crispy fries especially with the garlic sauce! For some reason, they didn’t let my friend order her burger without cheese, and it sort of ruined her mood for the night. I wonder why they don’t do custom orders, especially with such a simple request. The office burger consists of grilled onions, organic lettuce, and melted cheese. Yum.
About 20 minutes later, while we were enjoying our dinner, the bouncer approached me and insisted that I had to leave the restaurant to drink my coffee. I was nearly finished with it, but he wouldn't let me take the last couple of sips. Instead, he hovered over me and compelled me to walk all the way down the path to the sidewalk outside the restaurant. It only took me about a minute to finish, after which I returned to my friends to continue our meal. The whole situation was embarrassing, especially since the patio was packed with customers. It felt as though I had committed a serious offense. I can understand stricter rules if I had been alone without ordering food, but we were a group of five, dining and drinking, yet the restaurant didn’t offer any hot beverages, coffee, or non-alcoholic options other than soda and water. I definitely won’t be returning. You would expect that a place with relatively high prices for food and drinks would provide better service and treat their customers more respectfully.
