Dave Buster's Northridge - Los Angeles

You're not coming here for the food. We came on a Wednesday to take advantage of the 1/2 price games. Food was OK, service was super slow.

Fun place better than I had imagined. The bar area had a nice ambience and lighting. Food was mainly I guess what you would expect. It would have been nice to have a healthy option. The best I could find was the chicken potstickers and they were delicious. The margarita wasn't bad, the pinot noir was decent and a decent portion too all in all we had a great time!

Our server didn't know what they had on draft. Menu doesn't specify what is draft and what is bottled. Husband asked for a large Hazy IPA. The server brought him back a can. She didn't tell him it wasn't draft. Then later she came back with a seasonal draft that she initially was positive they were out of. They charge extra for extra ranch dressing, no refills on lemonade. Very overpriced and nickle and dime you on everything.

We arrived 10 mins to check because we were knew we would have to wait for our table. We got there and the guy in the front checked us and and he said it will be a while. I will get back to you on how long the wait is. He never got back to me. Once everyone from our party got there we asked again because he never did get back to us. Once we asked he seated us. I have a feeling if we didn’t ask we would have been waiting for a longer time. We waited 30 mins to get seated. Once we sat down the waiter took our order quickly but never checked in with us again after our food arrived. The food was actually decent. When you come here you are literally just paying for the environment. I would say next time we will eat somewhere else then just go in to play.

They were under staffed and didn’t allow us to sit at our table when our reservation was at 9pm due to only half of the party being there “house rules” that’s what the manager called it. The staff also said we needed 16 of the 18. So we go wait by the bar to have some drinks while the rest of us show up. The bar tender walks past us a few times… then later with no eye contact says “I know you have been waiting a million years, I’m not your bar tender but I guess I can help you out since your bartender hasn’t helped you” once we got out reserved table. They didn’t have a waiter for us for a while. Complete defeats the purpose of making a reservation? It was supposed to be a positive experience and memorable for my team and I, it was for sure memorable but for the wrong reasons. This place does have 2 stars on yelp for a reason.
