Bidrage med feedbackThe service was nice but the place was giving too fancy vibes. The food was cooked nice but it had no floor rice tasted like white rice I only got 3 oxtails for $43.35. Definitely not worth it and I definitely will not be back unless they change the food servings I rate this place bc it has no flavor a 2/10
This is a great Jamaican restaurant in Los Angeles. The only problem is the location. It it located in Little Tokyo, which is not a popular neighborhood. When we went on a Saturday night at 7pm, it was empty. There were 2 other tables by the time we we left, but lots of empty tables and the bar was empty. They were playing 90s and 00 reggae, which was an AMAZING vibe. The food was decent. As a Caribbean family, it was not the best, but still was good. I really liked my curry chicken, but I felt the jerk chicken was too sticky instead of like a rub. My kids got the jerk chicken and waffles and they really liked the waffles and the chicken. My wife didn't love the oxtails, but she also had just come from Jamaica the previous week and really had authentic oxtails recently. Overall, enjoyed the restaurant. If they could find a better location, I think it would do wonders for its success.
I came for late lunch early dinner. The jerk chicken entree was very good, the portion was fair for the price and the flavor was greatThe sorrel came like a cocktail which was unique and refreshing,I didn't expect the lounge club vibe on a Sunday afternoon but it was fine.Kid-friendliness: Not a child friendly place, this place is more catered to young adults
These portions are tiny!!! I got the chicken waffles thinking I was getting them fat juicy wings and I got 6 itty bitty party wings. The waffles reminded me of play doh. So yea waste of money.BUT the Southern Peach Tea was good. I had two! Not sure if there’s was a lot of alcohol but hey it was good.Overall I wouldn’t go back again. The amount they gave me was not the worth the wait nor the money.
This is a great spot in DTLA. Food was amazing and a nice ambience. Great cooking ideas especially the oxtail Mac n cheese! The only critique was the drinks although they were flavorful, they were a little thin. Great staff and I will definitely be back.
