Restaurant Auberny - Lormont

My friend and I took the BAT over to Lormont, a lovely little village just outside central Bordeaux. When we got off the boat we seen two restaurants directly opposite the port. We chose to have a wander around before we ate and headed up the hill. On our wee treck we discovered The Restaurant Auberny. This is a lovely little place that offers a great daily lunch menu of fresh salad, beef and coffee for a fantastic price. You can get a half bottle of wine here for a few euros more than a glass in the places nearer the river. The owner speaks no English and we speak little French but we were able to get by.He was pleasant and kind to us and we really felt welcome and relaxed in his restaurant. This is a real hidden gem in Lormont.

Great little shop with awesome service. The food was also amazing, we had a chef pizza and really enjoyed it.
