La Vecchia Fattoria - LORETO

Antipasti were good. Fish was nothing special and grilled vegetables weren’t cooked enough. House wine was below average. Substandard.

Decades since first visited this hostelry below the massive basilica of Loreto, when it offered the best cooked meat for miles around. Now rather run of the mill in a very busy area, full of families with small children racing and shouting. Ordinary local food and three desserts were mysteriously added to our bill. Asked to have them removed, this was done, with a somewhat sullen apology. We wouldn't return.
