Still a top choice in Loreto, but not to the same level as in years past. When you establish yourself as a “cut above”, the hard part is maintaining that standard. Although several flaws were relatively small, they appeared at the worst opportune time. When a restaurant used large plates, presentation is key. If you’re cutting back, short of product, or whatever, presenting an entree that looks like a pea on a cookie sheet creates a negative atmosphere that is hard to overcome! Something as simple as repeatedly bringing something different than what the guest had specifically requested (in this case, it was tortillas! , sends a message that your business is not needed or desired. Messing up a reservation for a large group, when your restaurant is less than half full, causes people to look elsewhere. Traveling my entire life, the “Baja approach of life” fits me, but not so for several members of our traveling group who refused to return to ML. Every restaurant has periods of inconsistency due to staffing, seasons, or ownership, so I’ll be back, because overall, Mi Loreto is still one of best in Loreto!

We loved it so much that we ate there for two days. The Almond Melissa is a must!
