Bidrage med feedbackWe kept trying to go here on the recommendation of our AirBnB host, and always found it closed or about to close, but finally managed to catch it open on our second-to-last day in town. The restaurant is tiny (5 tables) and it closes early, between 5-6 pm, so they had run out of several things on the menu by the time we got there. The server was surly and completely uninterested in waiting on us. We ordered agua de melón (cantaloupe water) and sopes with carne asada. The agua fresca was freshly made and delicious. The food took a surprisingly long time to prepare, considering we were the only people there--we waited almost 40 minutes. When they did bring the food out, the sopes (3) were HUGE and came with a small serving of Mexican rice. They were pretty good overall, but the sopes themselves (a thick round tortilla with raised edges) had clearly been fried in lard that was not very hot and somewhat old, as they had an unpleasantly soggy, greasy texture and stale flavor. It could have been because we arrived right at the end of their day, but it was a bit disappointing. I suspect the quality of the food would likely have been better if we'd gone for lunch.
We always go here when we are in town. Really good food and fresh squeezed agua fresca. Its a tiny place so dont miss it. The chilaquiles are the best.
Friendly, cute and good meals. Home cooked local food at great prices. Chili rellenos, enchiladas and more
Lugar pequeño, pero con buen sazón, debe mejorar en su imagen interior, por lo demás muy bien
