Bidrage med feedbackThe price of a slice has nearly doubled since my last review. While there are certainly better pizza options in Philadelphia, I can’t help but feel nostalgic when I enjoy a big slice here. I used to be able to finish a slice, but not anymore. They've also eliminated parmesan cheese as an option for topping. I did add a lot of garlic to mine, though. It's still cash only, and there's no seating available at all. They used to have a spot where you could at least stand inside, but that's gone now. I’m taking away a star because they've really stripped this place down to the basics. It was definitely better a decade ago.
This has been a popular pizza place on South Street for years. They only offer takeout, but their large, delicious cheese slices make it a favorite. It's a go-to spot for late-night pizza since they stay open until 3 AM and prepare orders quickly. The area is great for a stroll, with plenty of shops and the iconic South Street vibe. I deducted two stars because the menu is quite limited—only cheese slices or a 28-inch pizza for $42, with an additional $8 for a single topping. Service is efficient. Whether you're craving a late-night slice or want to stop by during the day, this place is a South Street classic.
Just look at the size of the slices! The pizza itself is quite decent as well—delicious, served promptly, and fresh out of the oven. It’s a fantastic option while you’re on South Street. If you're feeling adventurous as a tourist, try the Philly taco! Head over to Ishkabibble's, grab a cheesesteak, and wrap it up in a slice of pizza. Don’t hesitate—just go for it!
Surprisingly, yesterday was my first visit to Lorenzo's, and I have to say, the pizza did not disappoint. It was one of the top two slices I've ever had, and I've lived in Jersey my whole life! While they may be slightly more expensive, it's well known that the slices are huge, so you definitely get what you pay for. Unfortunately, my fiancée found a hair on her slice, but the man behind the counter was very apologetic and promptly brought out a new one. I appreciated the quick service, which I think is due to the setup inside. There’s a kitchen, a counter, and not much room to wait, which often leads to a line forming outside. I will definitely be returning, and I hope that after a few more slices without hair, I can update my review to five stars!
This is undoubtedly one of the BEST pizza places in the entire city—and I’d argue in all of eastern PA. The pizza is greasy, slightly flimsy, and incredibly delicious! There’s nothing quite like strolling down South Street, people-watching, and grabbing a slice at their convenient walk-up window. The slices are HUGE! The service has consistently been quick and satisfactory. A!
