Adams Rib Pit Bar-b-que - Longview

Great BBQ. I've eaten BBQ all over the states and this place ranks in the top 10% of places I've been<br/ <br/ The Ribs were near perfect and the brisket was awesome<br/ <br/ The sauce was OK, not spectacular but ok<br/ <br/ The baked beans were very good and the potato salad was very nice.<br/ <br/ I will be going back and trying everything on the menu over the next few weeks<br/ <br/ The prices were very fair, not cheap but good for what you get!<br/ <br/ So much better than that place in an old gas station

I've been eating here for 11 years and the quality if the food and the service has been steadily declining since it became Adams rib. Especially in the last year or so.

Best BBQ In And Around Longview. I went to Adam's Rib to get a couple of photos and other info for Urban Spoon and decided to eat while I was there and man, was I glad that I did. The food was outstanding. I had a chipped beef sandwich with potato salad and mac and cheese. Everything was outstanding and served fast and hot. The owner came by and chatted for a minute and was a super nice man. I picked up three fried pies to go and had one with coffee later on. It was great as well. The restaurant is in Lakeport out close to the airport, but worth the drive. They are open at 7 and close at 9 except on Sunday when they close at 8. Worth the drive.

We stopped here on our way through. The sauce is good they say it's gluten free. The sliced beef ribs were so tender that utensils were barely needed. The coleslaw was light on sauce, but I suppose that's healthier anyway. Potato salad had good seasoning. Husband had a chocolate fried pie and liked it, but could only eat half bc it was so big. It's a styrofoam plate, paper towel napkin kind of place, but clean enough given that. Seems like a good family run small business, which we love to support.

They have the best bar b q in east Texas by far!! You can't go wrong with a pregnant woman special sandwich (chopped beef and link on a bun) potato salad; or when I'm not n a bar b que mood, their juicy tasty tacos can't be beat!
