Bidrage med feedbackThe restaurant has a very pleasant decor with artwork available for purchase. It is a great spot to enjoy breakfast and catch up on the news by reading the paper.
Since we were in the mood for a lighter breakfast that morning and our first choice was closed, we ended up at Autour by default.
This was the only restaurant where I regretted spending my money! Initially, we struggled to find a local restaurant in this neighborhood and when we finally did, we were disappointed.
We used to get breakfast here when we had just moved to the neighborhood and didn't know better. The guy behind the counter (middle aged gentleman, shaved head) has been rude to us pretty much everytime. It's as if he's not happy to see customers enter his store. They also do NOT make their own baked goods (croissants, chocolatines..) but ship them in from the Arhoma bakery and resell them at a premium. The product is therefore less fresh and more expensive than an actual bakery. Frankly, their stuff tastes stale. Don't even get me started on the pastries. I think this place is a tourist trap and I advise you to steer clear.
After a long day of travel from the west coast this was the first place we ended up coming to for a coffee and a snack and this place was totally perfect. The service was friendly and helpful. The sandwiches we ordered were delicious and and the coffee fresh and hot.
