Hernando's Hideaway Long Jetty

A fantastic find in East Gosford, this Mexican restaurant offers a great atmosphere and an ideal volume for conversation. We tried the Cubano quesadilla, chicken tacos, stuffed capsicum, and wings. Every dish was exceptional, complemented by the wonderful staff. I can't wait to return and explore more of the menu!

The atmosphere was pleasant and the staff was friendly, but the portions were quite small and rather expensive for what you get. I don’t enjoy spicy food, so I relied on the waitress for recommendations, but everything she suggested was spicy, which was disappointing. Good service should include knowing the menu well enough to suggest appropriate options. If necessary, the waitress could have checked with the kitchen. Also, the bathroom had jalapeños, which were not much milder than what I was trying to avoid. Overall, I don’t think I would return to this restaurant.

I had dinner tonight and the staff was very courteous. The food arrived quickly, and the service was excellent. My only complaint is the fish tacos; they were chewy and honestly the worst I've ever had!

We just sat here with friends and we all had an incredible night. the personal was beautiful, service prompt and eating was absolutely amazing. we chose the banquet and no one has left hungry (we had very hungry men and they were very happy). a fill of gluten-free options for those who need it. Make sure that they were a bit of space for the chocolate chili cake and the sticky date pudding both were delicious and don't let me start on the cocktails. we will all be back and forth.
