The Tavern - Long Bar Harbor

We love the atmosphere...both inside the historic building and outside on the shaded patio. Brunch is great and steaks for supper are always good there. Dinner at the tavern is always great! Filet medallions and crab cakes are not to be missed!

Was here on a business trip and the boss took us out for dinner. This was an amazing experience, amazing old history in just one building. The food was AMAZING, loved the very laid back, quaint atmosphere. I will definitely go here again, I'm a history buff so this was right up my alley!

It's an amazing little place that's great for a special occasion. Service staff was on top of everything. This place is putting out excellent food. We will be back. Reservations are Highly recommended. PS I ordered my Duck medium rare, and it was done to perfection.

It was almost if we were in a scene from outlander. It felt like we were able to step back in time and experience the wonders of what the world use to be. Being here with all the welcoming people was one of the most rewarding experiences. We also just happened to see a few of the same people from the creeper trail we had walked earlier there. Great time even better food. I hope I get the opportunity to enjoy this place again. I can only image what it’s like during the holidays!
