Just on the edge of the Highlands, Morris Deli is not only your stop for your packaged drinks, but a nice sandwich or homemade soup as well. Drive by on the right day, you'll also see the smoker blowing outside. My sandwich of choice is a club on a toasted croissant with Colby cheese and a cup of broccoli cheddar soup. Look at the pictures, this place doesn't miss! It's constantly full of usuals and the staff definitely knows their people. Morris Deli is the neighborhood classic and definitely a place to try when in Louisville.
The absolute best deli sandwiches and sides in town. Service is excellent! Been going there for 32 years and it gets better and better.
Morris' Deli is a tiny little place that packs a great big punch. Morris' offers made to order sandwiches and literally everything on the menu is delicious-homemade and fresh. Definitely try the chicken salad and the ham salad because those are top notch. Also, make sure to check out their prepared sides in the deli case. My particular favs are the macaroni salad (mustard based with eggs-YUM! and the caprese salad which is absolutely loaded with mozzarella pearls. Service is always quick and friendly.
I've had Morris' on my list for a long time. Basically, since I moved to Louisville around twelve years ago. I'm not sure why it took me so long to get over to this spot, but I'm glad I finally did, because I loved it! Morris' is a truly typical Kentucky-style deli and general store. It reminds me of the spots I grew up frequenting in Bourbon County. They're offering up everything from liquor, snacks, and drinks, to whole country hams. Plus the deli makes this one of the best lunch spots in the area! They're serving up high quality sandwiches, soups, sides, and desserts daily. Plus, they offer catering. If you're looking for a quick and easy spot to grab something extremely tasty, I'd say Morris' is a great place to do it!
Anything you order tastes homemade (cause it is! . Service is usually quick and staff are friendly. It can get crowded at lunch especially but so worth it.
