Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

1. Today's pancakes were awful—flat and tasting like old oil. I requested bananas, but they were nowhere to be found. Surely, the kitchen staff could make a quick trip to Market Basket to grab some bananas, right? 2. The woman at the welcome desk really needs to articulate better; it’s urgent because I couldn’t understand her at all! Additionally, she informed us that water had been spilled on the floor where we were supposed to sit and asked if we would be okay sitting there. We said yes, expecting someone to clean it up. Despite many free tables, we were seated at a table with water underneath. Aren't you supposed to mop that up? Apparently not, as no one had cleaned the area. You could have at least mentioned being short-staffed, but still… On a positive note, our waiter was very friendly and professional, though a bit loud.

Oh my goodness, I tried the new chicken bacon dish, and it was absolutely amazing! I devoured it! The waitress was fantastic and very friendly. My only complaint was about the gift shop – I have a bit of an obsession with salt and pepper shakers, and they didn't have as many as they usually do. That made me a little sad, especially since they typically have the best selection. Perhaps I just visited at the wrong time?

The service was a bit slow due to a shortage of staff, which is understandable. Overall, though, it was a really great experience!

We had a fantastic experience at Cracker Barrel! The country food we craved was perfect, complete with delicious biscuits. Our server, Michael (or was it Mike?), provided us with warm and friendly service. We truly felt welcomed and well taken care of. The decorations were vibrant and captivating, making our visit feel more special than just a quick meal. We ended up spending the whole afternoon there, enjoying the ambiance. This is an excellent spot to enjoy a good meal and some quality time together.

The server was excellent, and although the kitchen was a bit slow, it meant our food arrived piping hot and freshly prepared. The fried chicken was cooked to perfection, with a light and flavorful coating that wasn’t overly salty, like some places tend to do. They managed to make the fried okra—possibly frozen—taste incredible and fresh. The portions were enormous and incredibly delicious; I even had enough left over for lunch tomorrow! It was definitely great value for money. It was exactly what we were craving. Definitely come for the fried chicken and biscuits!
