Bidrage med feedbackI visited Restaurant Ninety One with my friends on Tuesday and I really enjoyed it. I recommended the restaurant to my friends, and we all had a positive experience upon entering. However, there was a unpleasant smell at our table. I informed the waiter, and he promptly cleaned the table. We were a bit put off by the lingering odor while eating, and I hope this issue does not occur again on our next visit.
Here for my sister’s congratulatory dinner after getting PhD. Food was really good and hot. I ordered a steak and it was cooked really well. Wasn’t crazy about the “crust”. My dad has an allergy to hazelnuts and they have hazelnuts on their menu the waitress and cooks were very very careful to ensure no possible chance of cross contamination. The cobbler was good as well same with the bread they brought out at the start- very was freshly baked.
Great ambience and friendly staff! Special mention for the ravioli because it made me realize that I actually do like mushrooms after all! My one complaint would be that the dish was a bit salty for my taste.
We almost didn't come because of a negative review about tasteless bread and butter. Thank goodness we came. The meal was excellent from beginning to end. The sourdough bread and butter was plentiful, warm, and delicious. We have never had pork belly, but we tried it on the recommendation of the waitress wonderful. The pickerel was light and tasty, and the tartar sauce the best we've ever tasted. The desserts were rich and interesting, but we over indulged. A delicious meal, excellent service, and lovely ambience.
The Ninety One Restaurant at Windemere Manor is nestled in the woody glades on the University of Western Ontario campus. The setting is idyllic. It wasn't very busy when our group of four arrived, and our waitress was excellent. Service was informative and efficient. Our orders were taken quickly and drinks appeared promptly. The menu specials were explained, including the prix fixe summer menu. Our wives ordered the cod special, my friend had the clams linguine and I settled for seafood fettucine. All four meals drew deserved praise. The only criticism was that the fingerling potatoes with the cod bore an overly strong and somewhat bitter taste of liquid smoke. The air conditioning was a little aggressive and all were feeling chilly by the end of our sojourn. My three companions really enjoyed their lemon curd cobblers and declared the meal most enjoyable. The final bill came to about $200 plus tax and tip. Recommended.
