Bidrage med feedbackThe owner didn't even bother to greet us and later came to our table insisting we pay before we had received the rest of our order. Although we provided a tip, we felt pressured to give even more. I cannot emphasize enough how disrespectful her behavior was, and I do not recommend this restaurant as long as she is in charge because that is not how you should treat people. If she is unhappy in the restaurant business, perhaps it would be best for her to move on. It seems to me her negative demeanor is affecting the restaurant's reputation, as I've noticed a decline in their reviews. I genuinely feel for the employees and hope they eventually get a new owner who treats them with respect. It feels as though she looks down on everyone she interacts with, which is shocking considering how much she relies on customers. Customers should not be forced into tipping a specific amount; it's simply not appropriate. I sincerely hope for a change in ownership so that I can return with my family, as it’s disappointing to witness such poor treatment of people.
We were seated at a small two-person table for three just after the lunch rush, near some drafty closed doors. The floor was dirty, with old food and napkins scattered about. The elderly Asian waitress seated us two tables away from her friends so she could keep chatting with them. At that time, there was only one other table occupied. Unfortunately, the service was lacking, as she spent most of her time socializing rather than attending to us. We even had to write down our own order on the back of the dim sum sheet. The crispy duck was not very good, and overall, the service left much to be desired.
As a Chinese person, I’m thrilled to have such an authentic Chinese restaurant here in London. The dim sum may not be the cheapest, but it's definitely worth the price. The attached photo shows my recent delivery order.
After spending $80, we brought home deep-fried shrimp, spring rolls, and egg rolls that were practically inedible due to being so soggy. It would have been better if they had informed us right away about the issue. Adding more meat while compromising half the order is not the way to go. I regret not insisting they remake the entire meal since, in the past, when they messed up an order and asked for 25 minutes to fix it, I pointed out that the food would have been sitting for too long and needed to be redone. Instead, they just moved the old cold dishes into a new bag. I really hate leaving a negative review, but this is the second time this has happened. They still hold the title for the best dim sum and authentic dine-in experience in the city.
I visited a Cantonese restaurant located inside the mall, right next to the Chinese supermarket. For lunch, I ordered dim sum, sticky rice, and several side dishes, and the food was excellent. Everything was freshly prepared, and the service was quick. Although the decor might be a bit outdated, the authentic and fresh food is what truly matters.
