Lotus Gardens - London

We had Lotus Gardens food several times in the past and it had become our restaurant of choice for taking Chinese food. After a meal from there yesterday evening it is now on our list of never again! . We have overlooked the Shabby Decoration and the questionable cleanliness in the past due to the quality of food, but this quality is now a thing of the past. The Szechuan beef should be called better than Szechuan vegetables, as the few pieces of beef among the peppers and onions were almost difficult to find. The cantons of Chow mien consisted of a large bunch of noodles buried a very small amount of meat on the bottom of the tray. The description of the plate says that it contains a combination of chicken, shrimp, Bbq pork, beef and canton egg noodles. We had ONE shrimps, pig pieces, the thick leather unedible, and only 3 or 4 pieces of beef and an equal number of chickens. Basically $16.95 for noodles! Obviously, the arrangement of the plate with the noodles was done above to hide the very small amount of meat hidden on the floor. The egg roll was over boiled and contained little filling. Needless to say, we will not ever order from here again....

I used to be a big fan of this restaurant for years, but my recent experiences have been disappointing. The food was overcooked, the rice was too greasy, and the staff were rude. I would advise others to avoid eating here, as it is no longer the same quality as before.

The delivery was recently completed. A former $72 meal for 4 was a piece $91!!! The delivery is fast, they are polite, the food is pretty good. For many years regular customer.

Ordered to pull out the wings and they were terrible. Buy somewhere else because the order I had was blood red in and some broken wings. not good.

This has been my husbands preference for Chinese food for as long as I’ve known him. I stopped tonight to pick up some dinner for him as a surprise. Well the surprise was on me. I realize the pandemic has been hard on businesses but this place is absolutely filthy. The dining room is still closed and tables are shoved to one side with boxes of who knows what all over the place. It’s a mess, more like a locker room than a dining room. The whole place needs a good cleaning. If this is the front of the restaurant what does the kitchen look like? Building looks very sketchy, windows are filthy, doors into kitchen look dirty. On top of this, the food has gone downhill and is not like it used to be Last time. Clean it up people. I do not like hurting a business with such a negative review but they have no web sight, no messaging capability to provide a private message and I am so appalled by what I saw tonight, I could not be silent.
