London Ale House

Well situated in the heart of downtown. Plenty of room at the bar or tables. A little dark but not bad. Large menu with lots of choices.Staff service is attentive.and the bar is well stocked for drinks. Plenty of parking in the area.

Came in for beers and burgers. We were seated quickly and orders taken. We both ordered classic burgers but there were 2 mystery sauces on them that neither one of us liked so it ruined the burger and we did not eat it. we ended up just finishing our beers which we were given to in water glasses. waited awhile for the bill, had to ask for it. Not to impressed, wont be back.

Stopped in for a couple beers and some half priced apps. Service was a little slow but I think she was working alone. Apps were good but glad they were half priced, would not have been worth full price. Pleasant atmosphere and nice people watching spot.

Noticed quite a number of hipsters at the other tables. An interesting mix of clientele, considering the distance from the university. The deep fried pickles wrapped in bacon is to die for, but make sure the bacon is cooked properly. Will go again, if only to try some of the other interesting items on the menu.

I went for lunch here today with two co-workers. We were very surprised at how good the food was. The bar tender apologized in advance in case the food took a while, since they weren't expecting such a large lunch crowd which was great. The food actually didn't take that long and we all enjoyed it very much. Two of us had the brisket and the third have the turkey club - all good choices.Like another post says... smokers rule
