Bidrage med feedbackWe needed a breakfast spot after getting up before dawn in Montreal to catch an early flight to Toronto and connect to London. Billy's had good reviews, so we went there, and were not disappointed! We arrived at 9:00, when the restaurant was only about half full (note: two hours of free parking on the street outside on weekends -- what a great idea), but it rapidly filled up once 9:30 arrived, and the server confirmed that by that time they often have a lineup of people waiting for tables. Billy's offers the usual breakfast and lunch options, but in addition to bacon and (Oktoberfest) sausage, they offer Montreal smoked meat, which I ordered with two eggs and whole wheat toast. My wife opted for the "Fresh Start" breakfast, which came with a small bowl of fresh fruit (which she praised) and two eggs any style. She ordered poached eggs and was delighted when our server asked how she wanted them cooked -- soft, medium, or hard. She ordered medium and said they were perfect. A small glitch was that she was given a whole wheat bagel instead of the toast she thought she ordered. My order came with a choice of hash browns or home fries -- I ordered the hash browns, which I thought were excellent. I'm not normally a big fan of potatoes at breakfast, but these were great -- Billy's serves latkes, and so they make the hash browns with shredded potatoes. Yummy! The two breakfasts with coffee came to just under $25. Service was friendly and attentive. Highly recommended!
Came here for an early morning meeting with a colleague, and LOVED the variety of items that they offer on the breakfast menu!Great atmosphere (very cozy!), and the s Brice was on point. Very friendly and welcoming.Haven't tried the lunch menu, but would certainly recommend it for breakfast!
Went to Billy's for breakfast on July 13, 2017. I had the Eggs Benedict, others I was with had the cheese omelet, the potato latke and eggs over easy. Everything was delicious, the coffee was great and our waitress was very friendly and knolledgeable. We had a good time and didn't feel rushed at any time. I would definately go back and I have no problem recommending it to anyone
Very bright and clean. great atmosphere open from 7am to 2pm always busy. the food is fantastic eggs benedict is a must have, bring your appetite as the servings are big.well staffed and we didn't have to wait very long for our food. Sandy is the owners wife and she will always make you feel welcome and she helps with the serving. location is right downtown London just east of Talbot St. on Dundas
Today I was waiting to be seated with a few other people when my favourite waitress came over and asked how many would be having breakfast. I told her just one. The young lady next to me replied the same. Since they were very busy as usual I thought we would wait for quite awhile. I was pleasantly surprised when the waitress suggested we could share a table if we were agreeable. Now I can honestly say they have the best customers as well as great food. I always expect a good breakfast but the interesting conversation was above and beyond their normal service. The original owners of Billly's left the place in good hands a few years ago. When they left the took the time to pass down their knowledge and recipes. The current owners have made them proud. They still have the same quality and service. I would never hesitate to send someone there.p.s. - I have only been disappointed here once... by too many cooks in the kitchen. Somebody didn't realize that the cook had already put salt into the chili. Twice! But all is forgiven. They thanked me for the heads up, pitched the rest of the pot, and offered me anything on the menu to make up for it. No charge. That's class.
