Angelo's Italian Bakery & Deli - London

This place is great if you are looking for authentic Italian grocery items. I would recommend it to anyone.

We recently visited Angelo's for a quick eat-in lunch.The salad bar is fresh but the pasta salads are all bland.My boyfriend ordered a mini pizza and chicken wings. We were told the wings would take "1 minute" while they heated more. We waited almost 10 minutes for fresh wings to come out. Had he told us it would have taken longer we wouldn't have waited.The mini pizza was delicious, probably the best tasting item we purchased.The pre-made turkey and cheese sandwich wasn't bad either.As I said previously, the salad bar was bland and pricey for what it actually offers.The biggest disappointment was when my boyfriend found a very long dark hair in his wings. When he went back to the cash register they sent him back over to the deli to get fresh wings. We were never offered our money back and instead, they replaced the wings but not before they put them in the microwave (WTF?!) and turned them into a giant soggy mess. We didn't have time to complain for a second time, and left. Angelo's is not what it used to be. It seems they no longer pride themselves in quality food and service. Food in the deli is very overpriced for what you get. Also couldn't believe how much waste is created from the plastic containers to the Styrofoam plates...it's 2017!!!! Save yourself the time and money and head across the street to Farm Boy where they support local businesses and everything is fresh.

If you like your breads fresh baked and ready to go, this is the place. Very good on-site restaurant for a relaxed meal with a decent coffee selection.

We've been to Angelo's several times, but this is the first time we've taken to write a review. The place is huge and packed with delicious Italian food and a variety of entrees. We try to get there every time we are in London to visit family.

Had Angelo's Classic Caesar Salad, Greek Pasta Salad, Gourmet Cheese Nibbler, Canadian Favorite's Platter, Vegetable Platter, Old Fashioned Fudge Cake and The Heavenly Chocolate Platter for a luncheon celebration for my grandmother's 90th Birthday. It was ALL delicious! And the presentation was excellent. The fudge cake my favorite. Ordered online 3 days in advance and all was ready for pickup. Very happy with the service and the food.
