Nice hotel excellent serviceVery poor breakfast food was cold bacon overcookedVery expensive for one night!!

Now called the Riverside Hotel beautifully restored, and really really comfortable beds, with the outlook to the cathedral, wonderful setting

Comfortable rooms, with a nice garden easy access to town centre

The rooms are a decent size and clean and the price is fair. The staff are all friendly and helpful, it's just there aren't really enough of them and they seem to get confused easily. Currently the restaurant isn't open in the evening but there are plenty of good places to eat in Salisbury.If you get the chance choose a room with access to the lawn being able to sit out is definitely a bonus.

Family wedding held here. Cancelled almost all wedding guest rooms after expecting the bride to tell them who was staying at the hotel, having booked individually.They rang around local hotels and said there were no rooms for us anywhere. Expected us to sorted out. Eventually found rooms for 1 night half an hours drive away.Family members had to double up sharing rooms and we only got a room because family members moved out to make space for us. Only to be told, actually there was another room. My parents in law had to drive home the night of the wedding, arriving home in the early hours of the morning because there was nowhere for them to stay.After all this we were only reimbursed the additional cost of the other hotel we stayed in and £10 off for the night we were able to stay because family complained on our behalf.It's such a shame because it was a beautiful location and lovely wedding. They really need to sort their booking system out as this was an unnecessary stress which detracted from a wonderful day.
