Verdi's - London

My friend and I decided to visit Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park on a Friday night to attend the Lift Festival Depart - an interactive circus performance that takes place in the underworld. Not knowing what to expect, we decided to play it safe and have a good meal first. We ended up dining at Verdi, an Italian restaurant nearby. The Depart performance turned out to be brilliant and absolutely mesmerizing. We will definitely be returning in 2017 to see it again.

I am not familiar with East London, but Verdi was definitely worth the trip. We were impressed by their diverse menu offerings. I ordered the grilled seafood in a tomato sauce, which was the freshest and biggest portion of fish I have ever tasted. For starters, I tried the tagliatelle bolognese which was perfectly portioned and delicious. My friends enjoyed the scallops with saffron and calamari with fried courgettes as starters. For mains, they had the special filet steak with mushroom sauce, seabass, and bratkartoffels as a side dish. We paired our meal with a Pinot Grigio which was delightful, although the rose special of the day was a bit too oaky for my taste. The dessert options were limited, but I enjoyed the chocolate mousse and my friend liked the classic tiramisu. The service was friendly and attentive, with a funny mix-up of dishes at one point. We were even treated to complimentary limoncellos at the end of our meal. Overall, Verdi is a great local restaurant offering both high-end dishes and affordable pasta and pizza options. I would definitely return for their delicious tagliatelle bolognese if I lived closer.

Stepney may not be overflowing with restaurants, but Verdi's is a standout option that would be a welcomed addition to any neighborhood. The cuisine is regional Italian, featuring a relatively small menu of creatively prepared dishes that are excellently executed. During a recent visit, the bratwurst with candy, pappardelle with lamb ragu, chicken in sage and white wine sauce, and fritto misto all impressed, alongside their tasty pizzas. The atmosphere is casually inviting, with soft jazz playing in the background and friendly service to top it off. Verdi's is definitely worth a visit.

Among a large number of fried chicken restaurants, almost food joints and numerous bangladeshi restaurants is a rustic Italian restaurant with an excellent environment. on Wednesday afternoon for lunch I was amazed to see a style similar to that of a first class restaurant. the restaurant was relatiw full for a Wednesday afternoon in mile ende. the menu consisted of a few dressed in different categories that you would see in any Italian restaurants, but with a higher complication. the waiter came to explain the daily specialties that burrata with black truffles shave up and spaghetti with truffle both for reasonable prices. my friend ordered a margherita pizza that arrived with basilikum and parmesan cheese on the side. the pizza was thin crispy crust with a delicious tomato sauce, a simple dish, but prepared for a very high standard. I ordered the rabbit ragout, which was also very tasty and the pasta came al dente, I also ordered burrata with black truffles, both were very tasty. there was a formal environment with a dedicated wine menu. the waiter explained to me that the restaurant was only open two months. this restaurant can be seen as a hidden gem in mile ende and is definitely recommended to appreciate the good hearty Italian cuisine. prices can be slightly high compared to the surrounding restaurants, but for the quality of food and the ingredients it is definitiv a trip and worth the money.

It's a great little neighbourhood Italian full of tasty food. went there several times, for pizza and for main dishes. I have to say, while the pizza is quite good, the star are the dishes, in particular the specials. the arancini is great, the pasta is cooked beautifully and with great sauces. definitely recommend the trip here
