I'm looking forward to this meal. The restaurant had no good day (some problems with sanitary facilities and waiting staff (at least my things were not good to handle. They had (predominantly from their Brat memories, saving for vegan, and the duck I ordered came tepid. Strange enough other guests who arrived after me were able to get roast dinner after my waitress, other guests had ordered in advance. Didn't know this was an option. When I asked the staff, I was told that vegan frying plate is always an option. As if! Entree came before the wine the first (treation should have been hot, the latter (no wine. To add the last despair, I got the wrong bill. My waiter wasn't interested. The tip added by the restaurant was exaggerated to the service I received. I can't recommend it. There are much better restaurants.

Two of our 4 main courses were very bad. The Roast Lamb was unusable and did not describe the vegan option. A meal was taken from our bill, but this is not what was necessary that they should have been good enough first. I'd like to come back, especially for Sunday Roast Lunch.

I always enjoy lunch here as it tends to be quiet at lunchtime, so it's easy to chat. The food is reliably good. This time we both chose fish and chips and it was absolutely delicious, wonderfully crispy batter and perfect chips. We shared an Eton Mess for pudding which was good too. And the service was friendly and prompt. Thank you.

Ate Sunday lunch, which was really delicious and really great value. Relaxed atmosphere and service was good.
