Tamarind Hammersmith - London

Had one of the best dining experiences ever at this amazing restaurant! The atmosphere was incredibly warm and friendly with food that was among the best Indian cuisine I have ever had the pleasure of tasting. And to top it off the service was impeccable with the staff being warm, attentive and extremely engaging. Especially our waitress Irina who ensured our evening was absolute perfection!! I travel all over the world for work and can easily offer my highest possible recommendation. If you are in London and craving Indian cuisine look no further!

This is a really good modern indian restaurant however while it delivers on great flavours and quality ingredients it slightly feels that some dishes are just a little more complicated than they really need to be. Still, however, truly excellent and highly recommended. Will certainly go back try some more dishes the starters were truly excellent with the mains are very good. Great service and surroundings.

I have loved it so much, It's perfect, with a great food, a great staff and An antmosphere classical and magical at the same time. So nice, if you will be here or you are here let's go there, you won't forgive it !!!

The menu is small which I quite like as it makes chefs focus on the quality of the dishes they make. We shared a mix grilled starter if the ling prawn, chicken and lamb. Without doubt all were incredibly tasty and very well cooked. The mains were like a good normal curry house but much better quality products and flavours were good but not different enough in my view or unique enough to gain a Michelin star We finished off with a 1966 port great way to end the meal. Very expensive , but would go again.

Tamarind came highly recommended, so I decided to take four colleagues for a holiday dinner. We opted for the set menu (£72/person) and indulged in several bottles of wine and cocktails. The total bill came close to £700, but we all agreed that we would have been happier at a more casual spot on Brick Lane. Unfortunately, the servers did not provide any guidance on the menu or offer recommendations. They simply placed the tasting menu items in front of us and left. The food was underwhelming, with no standout dishes. All five of us were in agreement that we would not return. This restaurant is not deserving of a Michelin star and was a complete waste of money. Very disappointing experience overall.
