Bidrage med feedbackThis is my favorite Korean restaurant. The fried chicken (try the half 'n' half) is definitely worth waiting in line for! My go-to dish is the prawn and octopus salad. If you don't want to wait, I recommend coming right when they open for a more peaceful dining experience. It's common to wait 45 to 90 minutes in line outside, as it's a small and highly popular spot. I wouldn't suggest coming with a large group, as the wait can be quite lengthy. They do not take reservations.
Upon first glance, this small restaurant may not seem extraordinary. However, once customers step inside, they are in for a fantastic culinary journey. Don't be put off by the possible line outside - the wait is definitely worth it.
This is a double review! I have eaten at On The Bab many times in the past, but for some reason they have never disappointed. This time, I treated myself to the comfort of my home with the help of Deliveroo, a food delivery service. I used their user-friendly app to order my food, keeping track of the timing from preparation to delivery. It took about 30 minutes from ordering to arrival. My favorite part of ordering food is watching it head towards my house—a comforting sight. The food was well packed and arrived in one piece, although the packages were not marked. This caused some confusion as it was my first time ordering from them. I ordered a mushroom fritter and fried chicken, which my sister and I had to carefully analyze to identify. I contacted On The Bab to let them know about the confusion caused by the unmarked packages. They explained that they do not mark the packages due to the high volume of orders. They also clarified that the fritter was cooked in oil, which may be important for strict dietary preferences. Despite this minor issue, the service was great and both my sister and I enjoyed the food. Just a tip for future customers—remember that On The Bab is a small establishment, so be prepared to wait outside if dining in. Overall, highly recommended and remember, a busy restaurant is often a good sign!
As a big fan of Korean eating, it was not hard to convince on the bab (I wasn't in one of the other twosome before.) eating is convincing, the atmosphere is loud, but the service is fast. the bibimbap made justity, and the oktupus with kimchi is remarkable. we also had a small part of the sweet spicy roasted chicken we eat as an appetizer. we look forward to one of the other two!
The place was quite busy. Had a line outside a few moments after I arrived. Had the bibimbab. It was good. Had some nice flavours but I've had this dish many times and it wasn't quite as good as some others. Overall a nice meal but I think the had my expectations too high.
