Mele E Pere - London

Went for dinner with a few former colleagues and had a great experience. I ordered from the three course plus a glass of bubbly set menu.

Started off with ham-- always love me some meat Then we split the wild mushroom risotto, scallops, and a beef dish (I don't see the last two on the menu

The restaurant had mediocre reviews on Yelp, but we found the bread to be the highlight of our meal. It was so delicious that we ended up ordering two portions of it.

The atmosphere and service were outstanding. The food was delicious, especially the trout which I thoroughly enjoyed. I would definitely return and recommend this restaurant. It is conveniently located near several London theatres, although the dining area is a bit cramped. For those with accessibility needs, it's best to check with the restaurant beforehand as I did not see an elevator, but they may have an alternative entrance.

We decided to go to Mele e Pere because her Carbonara had no crème or bacon, it had egg yolk, guanciale and pecorino (like the traditional Carbonara). I'm so glad we decided to come because it was the best Carbonara I had in the UK.
