Chucs Cafe Serpentine - London

I would if you want to take a dog or kids or baby, but it felt less than this time. Not great.

The food was good but the service was poor from one member of staff. Our order was taken professionally by a young lady with a dark pony tail (no problem with this lady). We had ordered tap water which did not appear so I collected a jug myself. We had also ordered olives and bread to share between 4 of us. The olives arrived promptly but with no bread. After a further 10 minutes I went to the counter and asked the other lady with fair hair about the bread. She just curtly replied “Yes” with no apology. She eventually sauntered over to the kitchen area to get It. We then realised we needed small plates to dip our bread into the oil and balsamic vinegar. When requested these were casually served in an abrupt manner. The restaurant was very quiet so there was no excuse for this. Our main courses were served politely by a bearded gentleman. It was just the one lady who spoilt our lunch. Maybe there is a language problem.

The cobb salad was surprisingly small with too little lettuce..

Unfortunately the food was quite cold. Tried to catch a waiter's eye but couldn't do, and we were too hungry. We did mention it when we paid. It was the same for all on our table.
