After I read Sherry Lin’s review, I was shocked about the bad experience that she had. While we had something to do around the area, dropped indoor a dinner and checked it out. Maybe it was the effect of the negative report, the staff and the owner gave us a warm greeting upon our arrival. During the current impact of local business by Corona Virus, it is unsurprised to be the only dine-in table last night; however it did have reasonable take away orders. We ordered the kimchi and pork hot pot, beef rib hot pot and kimchi pancake. Well, they serve the best kimchi pancake in Brisbane and both hot pots delivered their own characteristic taste. Portion was passable but taste and those five side dishes compensated the discrepancy. Not a bad experience.Previous rating: Jun 2019 4/5; Oct 2018 4/5
Great side dishes! And excellent Korean flavours in all the food. we had pork bone soup and stir fry squid, and both came with rice and 6 side dishes to share (the picked chilli's and squid strips were Soo good).friendly service. good value. good selection of traditional Korean food.
With the cold, foggy and rainy winter that we've been having lately, there's nothing better than to warm up with some Spicy Korean BBQ. Having driven through Kessels Road on the way to Garden City, Shik Gaek's big KBBQ sign definitely caught my eye. Adding it to my list, I had meant to eventually try it out sometime in the next two months. Luckily for me, the perfect opportunity came last week, and we went to try it out on Saturday night.
Went there for a second time and took photos of the menu : <br/ <br/ Very quiet for a Sunday night normal dinner time. I think because of the secluded location and dark area around it. All shops in that shopping complex are closed at dinner time. <br/ <br/ It is the best korean BBQ that I have found in Brisbane so far an
