San Felipe Mexican Cuisine

Went here for dinner this past Wednesday night and the food was delicious! I had a steak chimichanga and wife had flautas. The Chimichanga was smaller then I am used too, but was delicious. The rice and beans was very good too, I like that unlike many Mexican restaurants do, this place does not put any vegetables like carrot pieces in the rice. My wife had flautas and other places I have had flautas at, I never liked them, the flautas here are excellent. Go here if you get the chance!

A Mixed Bag But Mostly Good The restaurant was very busy at lunchtime today (Sunday , but our server was attentive to our table. He made sure the chips and salsa (both very good were always filled and served our food and drinks quickly and efficiently. The Shrimp Fajitas, Enchiladas and Chimichangas were all up to par. The Huevos Rancheros were not. The eggs were cooked like an omelet and extremely dry and tasteless even though they were smothered in a Mole Sauce. I'm not sure what the other items (sauces? on the plate were, but they were not good. We will definitely be back, but no more Huevos Rancheros for us.

We have been avid customers for years! Not only for lunch but dinner as well. For the past multiple times we have ordered take out for dinner the only usual time we eat in is lunch) but we’re told we could order the lunch portion after hours and receive the lunch portion for that price! We have done this for quite awhile with no issues, however tonight we did our usual order and got lunch portion yet paid for dinner portion! I called immediately after seeing the charge knowing we had “lunch” portion meals. He was rude and not only rude claimed there was not a manager to speak with, to call back tomorrow and told me that they don’t do lunch portions during dinner. Which would be understandable if #1 we had not ordered these multiple times at dinner before but the biggest thing is when I said “ if you were going to charge us for dinner size portions, why did we get the lunch size if we paid for dinner??” I was not only handled rudely but told “my friend” which was my husband said “lunch portion” so we got that though they charged for dinner???? That makes zero sense!! And I’m even more frustrated that I was hung up on claiming “nobody” was there to address this issue! We have given a lot of our business to this place but not anymore after this! If you charge me all of a sudden for “dinner” portions that is what we should get regardless! Hateful, unprofessional is what I got trying to deal with this and we will not be back, we will take our business to the other place across town! Shame on you

The food, service and price are far from what it was when I first started coming here 10 months ago. Nachos today had only the taste of salt. No toppings or seasoning. Pricing makes it painful. I hate to be that guy. I was a fan.
