Old Corner Grill - Lock Haven

Stopped in while traveling across I80. Excellent service by Megan, great food, and local pub atmosphere. Neighborhood joint with lots of regulars, one who bought a round for the bar! Since tables outside were full, we enjoyed the bar. Thai peanut sauce homemade on wings and Old Bay dry rub were outstanding and not your chain wing offerings. Burger was tasty served with good slaw fries for three! Would return if in the area again.

I have always liked the Old Corner but what bothers me is that it often is difficult to place an order. Often there used to be a busy signal and tonight after trying to place a rather large order we received a message stating that the wireless customer is not available. The food is great if you want to jump through hoops to order.

This place is on my top 3 list for places to eat in Lock Haven. Great sandwiches/hoagies/ excellent food and the cheesesteaks are great. Fresh cut fries, and a yummy portobello sandwich is good for the non meat eaters. Won't disappoint!

I walked in and sat at the bar, there were 2 woman close to the window and a few men in the right side of the bar. The one employee had his back to the door/bar and was looking at something on the register. He turned his head but never acknowledge me or asked if I wanted anything. I read some emails and waited. There was a table with a few people out front, one of them came inside with their cups for refills and stood next to me. Another few minutes went by. Finally the bartender turned and looked at the guy next to me from outside and asked what he wanted. He had to walk past me to get to him and never once looked at me or addressed me. At that point I got up and walked over to Stella As!

I don't know why but I've never eaten here, despite living in the area the first half of my life! This place is a Lock Haven institution and I'm glad I finally got a chance to try the food! The burger that I ordered was huge and the fries were delicious. The bartender was great, and they had a lot of draft beers to choose from. I definitely will be visiting here the next time I'm in the area!
