Denny's - Lloydminster

I experienced an unusually long wait to be seated. After standing for 10 minutes without any acknowledgment, I took the initiative to ask for a table. Once I was seated, the service improved significantly, and the food was really enjoyable! It seems they might be a bit disorganized or possibly short-staffed.

The restaurant had a charming atmosphere, and I thoroughly enjoyed my time with my family. The food was perfectly cooked and not greasy at all, and the seating was quite comfortable. All in all, it was a delightful and delicious dining experience.

Regarding kid-friendliness, my brother and his friends had to wait two hours for their food, which ended up arriving cold.

The food is excellent, but the service tends to be painfully slow about 80% of the time. On one occasion, I entered when it was relatively quiet around 2 PM, and all six staff members just stopped what they were doing to stare at me as if I were an alien who didn’t belong there. I stood at the podium for a few minutes without being acknowledged, so I left feeling embarrassed. After confirming that they were open, I returned and asked if they were serving customers; only then did someone finally come over to seat me. There's nothing worse than feeling unwelcome in a business. While there are times when the service is acceptable, more often than not, it's quite poor and not worth the trip.

What a letdown. We waited 40 minutes for our food, only to receive the incorrect order, and the dishes were either overcooked or cold. My fiancé didn’t even get to enjoy his toast—both the toast and bacon were dried out and served cold, with barely any butter on the bread. We ended up spending a total of fifty dollars, and he was so dissatisfied that he only reimbursed me for his share, feeling completely shortchanged. They really need to rethink their kitchen staff and assess the experience they’re providing. If they can’t make improvements, they should seriously consider shutting down. It was a truly disappointing experience.
