Bidrage med feedbackThank God for late lunches in Spain. Forgot to eat more than a croissant and cafè con leche in Barcelona and by 2:30 we were starving. A quick search of Tripadvisor pulled three cafés still open, we took our chances and ended up wanting to stay the night. In our best/poor Californian Mexican/Spanish we relayed our wishes for a quick lunch but Eduard Ballera, the owner, would have none of that nonsense. We were seated in the rear dining room just in front of their beautiful and impressive wood fired stove and immediately were consumed by the aroma of the special that day, wood fired/braised Lamb Shoulder. We had an epic enslada mariscos frescos (fresh seafood salad with mixed marinated vegetables and cheese) a simple yet delicious plate of wood fired garlic bread with sautéd Calamari and...the. Lamb. It still haunts my memory after all this time. Tender, slightly smokey, not gamey at all, a broth to die for and a perfect compliment for a lovely Crianza. We left stuffed, happy, slightly sleepy and somewhat in awe of what the Ballera's would call just a simple family meal. Bien hecho señor Ballera, ha excedido nuestras expectativas y usted no puede agradecer lo suficiente por su hospitaility! You have friends and fans in California! Salud!
Comida de siempre con buena calidad. Muy buen servicio
Fantástico sitio de referencia en Lleida, su trato familiar, servicio exquisito y comida maravillosa, sin duda merece la pena ir a comer allí. Yo cuando visito la ciudad no me lo pierdo, mariscos, pescado y ternasco son muy recomendables.
El marisco lo tocan, las paellas super y el cabrito lo bordan! Un buen sitio para comer y cenar bien cualquier cosa, de calidad!
La comida buenísima, el servicio inmejorable y el lugar muy acogedor.
