In Spanish to some other person, a regular walks in holding his T-shirt up to his chest staring at all the patrons. I guess it 's a do owner, absolutely. Horrible and trust me, I 've traveled the world. I 'm not sussed by dive bars. How did they wreck this bar so quickly?
Lawrence is the best bar cook I know...the onion rings are scrumptious to say the least...Shelia is quite attentive with her table service...YAY
I recently visited this restaurant with my girlfriends for a girls' night out on June 5, 2024, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. Despite being understaffed with only one waiter, the service was excruciatingly slow, leaving us waiting endlessly for our food. We were promised a limited Caribbean menu, but that turned out to be false. Adding to the frustration, we were denied champagne as they couldn't open the bottle available at the bar. When the bill arrived, we were shocked to find inflated charges. Though the waiter rectified the error with a cash refund, I later discovered I was double-charged on my credit statement. Overall, between the poor service, false advertising, and billing discrepancies, I cannot recommend this establishment to anyone. Furthermore, our experience was marred when we were asked to vacate the pool table we were enjoying, to accommodate neighborhood patrons. These individuals explained that their intended venue for the night had become unavailable, so they descended upon this establishment, expecting us to yield our spot. Such a request felt rude and unjust, considering we were paying customers entitled to enjoy the facilities without disruption. This added inconvenience only compounded our dissatisfaction with the overall experience.
Can you give negative stars to a restaurant? They got every order wrong. And of course the service was abysmal on top of it all. As an example, we didn't get silverware and napkins until half way through the meal. My son and I ordered Rueben sandwiches. They were double deckers which was curious in itself. There was cheese and corned beef but that was it. No saurkraut, no thousand island. My son in law ordered a cheese pizza, but when it came, it had random pieces of onion and a couple of pepperoni on it. Like the guy accidently knocked over some of the ingredients on it and just left them on the pizza instead of picking them off or just starting over. A grandson wanted a salad. And we expressly said no cheese on it. Out comes the salad with grated parmasan cheese on top of it. The youngest grandson had the worst go of it. He just wanted a simple grilled cheese sandwich. Amazingly, his order was the last one out and we only got it after the son in law had to gone up to the counter and asked what the deal was with the last sandwich. When they brought it to him, it was a BLT (Bacon, Lettuce, and Tomato) sandwich! He immediately asked them to take it back and bring the grilled cheese. By the time it finally arrived everyone else was done eating. This time it was on like a 6 inch hoagie bun and had bacon it. He said just give it to me and I will pick off the bacon for him. I've been to some subpar restaraunts, but this one was the clear winner.
Stayed at the hotel next door. Didn't feel like going far. Glad I stopped in. The sweet chili wings were great. I dipped the onion rings in salsa or ranch. They were great too. Alexander was behind the bar and took great care of me. Stop in.
