Ike's Bagel Cafe - Livingston

Ive been going to this location for 5 years . I have stopped going because it really has changed. Their service was never exceptional but the food quality was alway average to above average. I’ve heard rumors that their kitchen is disgusting from plumbers that have gone done some work there and from co workers that have walked by their back door. I’ve given them the benefit of the doubt. But today I seen the guy who basically lives there older , rough looking gentlemen handle my bagel with his bare hands. My co workers warned me not to go there for the same reason. Not to be mean but he doesn’t look to have the best hygiene. Thankfully the lady cooked my meal . I just wish the owner would be there and make sure this individual would follow sanitary protocol when handling customers food. I hope this gets to the owner and/or health department and something gets done. FYI : My bagel was soft and everything else taste delicious.

Really great bagels and sandwiches. Nice outdoor/indoor seating. Definitely will go again!

Food is always goodPrices are too expensive though and the staff is always rude.. especially on the phone

The guy who works the register just really need to be wearing and clean clothes and a little bit more happy. He needs to remember that he’s in the service business.

I should have known the bagels were not good. When I saw them cleaning their smelly bathroom with strong chemicals right next to the bagels.The onion bagel I got was stale and dried out. I was wondering why the man was take time choosing which onion bagel to give me.
