I stopped by in the evening, and this place was fantastic. The bartenders, Lora and Eva, were amazing! I enjoyed the Port 3 beer while soaking in the vibrant atmosphere.

I didn't dine here because it was too noisy. However, I'm sure the food must be great since the Beatles came here after performing at the Cavern.

The staff are always friendly, especially the ladies, and Declan always has a smile on his face. We could use a few more "Bennys" for the ABBA songs—my voice is still hoarse from all the singing! Looking forward to seeing everyone again next year!

The only original pub on Mathew Street in Liverpool is the Cave. All the other pubs and clubs have been newly established. Although there's a place called the Cave, it's not the original. The original Cave was demolished to make way for the Liverpool underground railway system and was rebuilt in the 1980s. So, if you're looking for a true pub with that classic vibe from the 50s and 60s, this is the one to visit.
