Bidrage med feedbackI am a frequent visitor to the Titanic Hotel. The atmosphere is great, but the price for an evening meal is much lower compared to other restaurants along the Liverpool waterfront. £18.50 is a reasonable amount for fish and chips. The quality of the meals can be inconsistent, ranging from exceptional to very poor. I am a regular customer and my name is John Riley.
Very slow service food was nice when it got to the table had to ask for cutlery !!!! Staff really chatty and helpful
I was disappointed with the portion size of the afternoon tea at this restaurant. It cost £28.50 per person. The service was good and the staff were very attentive. The atmosphere was lacking a bit as it wasn't very busy, but the setting was lovely.
The restaurant has a beautiful setting, but the food was terrible. I ordered fish and chips, which were served on newspaper with mushy peas. The chips were undercooked, the remoulade was disgusting, and the fish was poorly battered. The desserts were obviously store-bought and not fresh. The decaf coffee was undrinkable. Other members of my party had similar experiences - cold potatoes, dry liver, and dry Yorkshire pudding. The staff was dressed nicely, but the overall experience did not meet even gastro pub standards, let alone a higher-end hotel. The restaurant needs to completely rethink their menu and hire a proper chef.
Firstly, I will say that the wait staff are brilliant. However a new chef is definitely required. The restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful and the cocktails are nice. I ordered the vegetable Thai green curry for my main, and the first thing i noticed was that the pak choi was so so wet it was rather difficult to cut through. Then came the real issue when i realised the texture of the entire meal was a jar of baby food. I tried to move around the rice with my fork and it just spread about like wall paper paste. Not only was it clearly over done, but its been drowned in water during cooking I would expect anyone know the correct rice:water ratio, let alone a paid professional. My meal was replaced without a fuss for the chicken, croquettes and vegetables. the chicken and croquettes where lovely, but yet again the vegetables where very wet. My date ordered the steak, which was extremely chewy and rubbery.... its such a shame as the hotel is beautiful, the rooms are gorgeous and the spa is fab. Im not sure how quickly i would be willing to give the restaurant a second chance, as its not cheap by any means and you can expect better at any regular basic food establishment.
