Great local pub good beer hood environment friendly staff

20 years lived in kirkby, my first visit had and was pleasantly surprised

This restaurant has a charming exterior and features a pleasant beer garden with plenty of parking available. However, the food leaves much to be desired. Additionally, the landlady might want to think about pursuing a different career where she doesn't have to interact with customers, as her demeanor is less than friendly. To call her rude would be putting it mildly. I cannot recommend this establishment and will not be returning.

The staff was friendly, but we encountered some issues with our order. After about 15 minutes, we were informed, along with two other families, that the kids' pizza was out of stock. They offered chicken strips as a substitute, but they had a spicy southern fried coating that was too much for my daughter. My burger was overcooked, and both sides of the bun were burnt inside. However, the replacement burger was much better.

I visited the Pear Tree during the Christmas season with my family, and I must say, the staff are incredible—so friendly and accommodating. Although it was quite busy, a lady named Vicky truly took care of us. I highly recommend visiting this place, and I can’t wait for my next trip!
