Bidrage med feedbackThis café on the ground floor of the Picture House has a lovely bohemian ambiance. The food is delicious and reasonably priced, and you can relax and feel comfortable here. It has a cool vibe without being exclusive to hipsters. It's also a great spot to hang out before a movie or meet up with friends or a date.
I often eat and drink in here when I stay at the Nadler hotel in Seel Street. It's good to have a snack or coffee after watching a film.
I have been lunching at the Garden at FACT for a few years. Unfortunately the last few visits have been disappointing. The bread has been dry and stale, the fillings on the sandwiches were dreadful. Two visits ago I ordered a brie and bacon sandwich. The bacon had been nuked! I wanted a pot of tea, just plain old English leaf tea and I ended up with some flowery concoction. I will no longer be spending my money in The Garden.
Fab little place for lunch . or just a nice cup of lose leaf tea. Please note there is not meat on menu
Located in the excellent Fact gallery, just around the corner from the bustling Bold Street with its masses of places to eat, this café serves a good range of salads, soups, quiches and sandwiches. Chunky wooden tables and masses of plants help the space feel like an independent café rather than a bland concession with its bland fittings. Staff are friendly and the food is tasty. The sandwiches come on massive slices of whole wheat bread and have tasty, well balanced, fillings. Their salads look fresh and come in generous portions. If you need a break from looking at cutting-edge media art, stay in the building and eat here.
