Wise Guys Philly Cheesesteak

Finding an authentic Chicago-style gyro west of the Mississippi is quite a challenge. As someone who grew up in Chicago with amazing beef and gyro sandwiches, I tend to be skeptical when I see the 'Chicago' label on food. However, Wise Guys truly delivers. I had a great experience with fast and friendly service, paired with a delicious hamburger. The fries were fantastic! Just a heads-up: if you're sensitive to spice, they do keep the Chipotle sauce on the side. It was the perfect medium level of heat. The prices are quite reasonable for the area. If I lived nearby, I would absolutely make this place a regular stop!

As I mentioned, I'm not a cheese steak expert, but this sandwich was quite tasty. The meat was flavorful and juicy. The bun was slightly toasted, but it made it a bit challenging to pick up. And as for the fork you see in the photo... it's definitely necessary!

Great gyro! They don't skip on the meat.
