Hummus Republic - Livermore

I really liked my meal at this restaurant because they offer a variety of vegetable options for their bowls. My bowl had kale and well-seasoned cabbage, and there was no need for any starch.

The food at this restaurant was a disappointment. My boyfriend and I ordered a falafel bowl and a vegan steak bowl, and shared a date shake. Despite choosing various flavors, the bowls had a lack of taste and the pita bread did not seem fresh. The date shake, while appealing visually, was watery and had a large ice chunk at the bottom. One of the staff members was uninformed about the vegan options, but another employee was able to assist me. The online menu indicated vegan items, but the restaurant lacked clear signage. Overall, I had high hopes for this place but ended up feeling unimpressed.

This restaurant offers a wide variety of gluten free options. You can customize your meal each time you visit, allowing for a different experience each visit. The bowls are filled with a generous amount of protein for the price. They are meant for one serving, so I would not recommend sharing. The pickled cabbage and falafel are both delicious choices. As someone with celiac disease, I was happy to find that I did not get sick after dining here, making it a great addition to the local restaurant scene. I am excited to try the tahini shake on my next visit!

I absolutely adore Hummus Republic and used to drive to Newark just to eat there. Imagine my delight when a new location opened just a mile away from my house! The food at this place is consistently amazing - healthy and delicious. It's a great spot for me since I follow a low-carb diet, as they offer plenty of low-carb options like bowls. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The only reason I took off a star is because the falafel seemed undercooked - the center was doughy. It could have been just a bad batch, but it was disappointing nonetheless. I'm not sure if I'll give the falafel another try. My daughter was also let down by the experience.

Simple 5-star rating. Delicious bowls with a selection of toppings to choose from. Everything was fantastic. The staff is friendly and hospitable.
