Carolyn's Cafe - Little Compton

We sat at a lawn table under an umbrella with a wonderful view of the vineyards, meadows and trees. It was quite crowded when we arrived and we got the last available table. The atmosphere is relaxed and you can enjoy the nearby ocean breeze, and jazz music. When you're done you can visit the vineyards, gift shops, wine tasting or even go on a wine making tour. I understand it was busy, but we had to wait almost an hour for our food. The service was decent however. There was a good selection to choose from and I found the food items to be fresh and good tasting so it was worth the wait. I had a chicken avocado wrap with chips and a glass of lemonade. For dessert I had the strawberry shortcake biscuit, which was good, although there could have been a little more strawberry sauce, because it was slightly dry. The portions were good and so was the quality. Pro: Atmosphere, and quality Con: Wait time for food items

The cafe is actually part of Carolyn's Sakonnet Vineyards, a RI winery that's been in business for over four decades. The lunch at the outdoor cafe was really perfect, fresh and locally sourced. The service is wonderful, employees friendly and the food was grand. I highly suggest the poké and stuffed portobello. I posted a photo also. On a nice day you can't beat it.

The food was very good, but the cost verses the portion sizes we extremely disappointing. The portion sizes were much larger last year before the vineyard changed over to Carolyn's cafe.

We're native Rhode Islanders that decided to finally see what the east bay had to offer. Spent the day exploring the coast and beaches. Some really special spots over here and this place is one of them. Just stopped in for lunch but it was exactly what we were looking for. Great service, atmosphere, and food. The shaved sirloin slider was the best slider I've ever had and the buffalo chicken flatbread was excellent. We will come back to this area and this place again and again!
