The Tuesday Bell - Lisburn

Ordered gormet Vege burger. Came with chips onion rings. Sides were grand. Burger was cold and soggy, lettuce wilted, Bap mushy. Left most of it. Chips were nice though.

The staff at this restaurant go above and beyond to ensure the safety of their customers. I feel at ease coming here to enjoy a meal and drinks.

Our order was delayed by 40 minutes due to a backlog, but a big shoutout to Erin, an excellent waitress. She made sure to take care of her customers with plenty of time and attention.

While on a business trip to Lisburn, I decided to grab a bite to eat and some drinks after work. I typically enjoy the beer selection at Wetherspoons, so I went there first. However, after waiting for half an hour and watching others who arrived after me get served, I left in frustration. I decided to try The Haslam across the square, where the service was friendly. I highly recommend trying their delicious triple cured pork chops with red wine jus.

I called in around 8:50 am for a quick breakfast with the aim of reviewing this establishment for Tripadvisor as it wouldn 't be a restaurant that I would normally visit . The only member of staff available told me that the upstairs room only opened after 12 noon, so I would have to sit downstairs; he told me to choose a table. I did so sat down and after waiting nearly fifteen minutes, I returned to the bar area to be informed that I had to place my breakfast order at the bar giving my table number. As a new customer I should have been advised of this routine when I entered. My cooked breakfast arrived around fifteen minutes later. No pots of tea are available; tea is served in mugs but can be topped up , as required, from an automatic hot water/drink dispenser! Their website advised that tea/coffee was provided free with breakfast but the new Breakfast Menu informed customers that there was a charge of £1.20 for same with free top ups . The Ulster Fry was very average; the egg was nicely cooked but the soda bread was very over cooked, and the bacon was rather fatty streaky . It was, however, good value for money! The restaurant wasn 't busy, but the tables were cleared slowly. The decor was appropriate and in a reasonable state of repair . A little dark, and too cold for me, on a frosty winter 's morning but spacious and fairly comfortable. Cleanliness and hygiene seemed to be good. It 's not my normal choice of eating establishment! More suitable, perhaps, for back packers , casual visitors, apartment holidaymakers, and those who want an early morning alcoholic drink.
