Excellent food nice atmosphere and good and authentic service. Best food in direct neighborhood. Octopus with white beens was mind boggling.

Visited in the evening for a light meal so took the tapas approach rather than the main dishes. Sampled a variety of the savoury croquettes/pastéis in addition to the larger portion of mushrooms with melted cheese and bacon, all of which were very tasty and accompanied by a lovely smooth Douro wine as recommended by the owner. I don't regret finding room for the most perfect chocolate fondant to finish. The atmosphere is cosy, welcoming and relaxed, to a backdrop of laid-back cool-jazz, swing and bossa-nova ballads. If the above sounds like your sort of thing, I can't recommend this little gem highly enough as it is also exceptional value.

Dirigi-me ao Fidalgo este mês. Fisicamente lembra o que seria uma antiga tasca, pequenino, poucas mesas mas com ambiente acolhedor/familiar. Gastronómicamente é o que se esperaria de um restaurante de comida Portuguêsa com doses adequadas ao preço. Não achei Fenomenal mas também estáuito longe de ser mau. Diria que é um bom sítio para se visitar especialmente se vierem com alguém que não seja Português. Resumindo, dada a oferta na zona não e um restaurante que motive a ir muitas vezes num curto espaço de tempo, falta-lhe um toque que leve ao patamar acima. Mas para ir numa óptica mais informal e de comer o que se conhece é um sítio perfeitamente recomendável.

Muito bom restaurante, já no Bairro Alto mas ainda longe das multidões. Serviço caseiro e comida excelente. Não é barato mas está perfeitamente de acordo com a qualidade e as doses são muito grandes. Para 6 perfeitamente 4 doses. Se repito? Sem dúvida!

Lost in bairro alto, a small place with the walls filled with wine bottles and furniture more modern than you would expect. I went there with a group of friends and everyone was happy with the choice: Great food and service! I will come back for sure.
