Bidrage med feedbackWe went looking for escargot, but we turned up empty yet again. Luckily, this French bistrot took care of us with some melt-in-your-mouth foie gras and fresh-as-a-daisy gaspacho soup. Try the octopus salad and see how the French attempt to rival Portuguese polvo (not bad! and for the pièce de résistance, go for the caesar salad. This is the only place in town that knows how to make one right: crisp romaine lettuce, anchovies, and an egg with homemade croutons. If you think you’ve had a caesar salad before and these ingredients sound strange to you, you’re mistaken. Now’s your opportunity to experience one done right on the money.
Has a pleasant terrace where you can see a disc of the rio. the service is friendly, eating is good and the atmosphere is interesting. I recommend
Very good place to eat. gazpacho was excellent and also the cortex. stuff was great and very friendly and helpful.
My husband and I ate dinner here one night during our weeklong trip to Lisbon. The restaurant is fairly nicely decorated, but needs a little bit of help. There are posters of French movies on the walls, but the chairs and tables need to be...updated and decor needs to be more sophisticated. My husband had tripe in a cognac sauce which he loved (it’s hard to find tripe except in Europe). I had duck confit, which was also delicious. Prior to our entrées, we had the onion soup, which was very strange. It did not have a piece of bread in it, rather it had crouton pieces. It was also lacking in an adequate amount of cheese on top. My husband had the tarte tatin for dessert. He liked it a lot.
Nice decor and music. The staff is nice and can give you good suggestions. The food is really good but the wine menu is weak! Pricey but good.
