Cafe 1686 - Lisboa

Definitely worth a look for their generous brunch everything was fresh and delicious. Would recommend

We were trying to find our hotel (Hotel Convento do Salvador), having been advised by our driver to go the wrong way (up the Rua Salvador instead of crossing the street to other other Rua Salvador). What luck! One of the servers/cooks from the Cafe 1686 was in the doorway redirected us. We returned in the morning for breakfast, which was fresh healthy. The cafe has been open for only one month is run by two talented kind young men with the same name: Philip! When we were eating breakfast with our friends, another couple from San Francisco came in they found the cafe when they were lost returned for breakfast as well. They have a variety of fresh juices muffins baked on the premises. We had egg dishes with mushrooms spinach an egg on top. They have lots of creative ideas, not only for food but future use of the building. The cafe is about halfway up the narrow alley an ancient road sign dated 1686 is on the opposite wall of the alley.

Went to this street famous for coffee and breakfast and discovered this new coffee (opened 2 weeks ago apparently). Great surprise. Tastes were huge and delicious, scrambled eggs savory (made without milk). A nice place to enjoy breakfast and/or brunch

I had the burger and it was incredible! Loved the homemade lemonade too. I will go back again and bring friends!

They have the best toast avocado (with poached eggs)! Also the guys working there are super friendly!
